If your home has large windows, you may be facing issues of the sun’s heat, glare and fading of furnishings. Tinting is one solution, but if you really want to block the heat and reduce air conditioning costs while retaining your view, you will want to consider a retractable solar screen. Because it is also an insect screen, it’s also a great solution for your patio or screen room. Imagine being able to enjoy your backyard before the sun sets!
Retractable solar screens make sense for a variety of problem areas:
- Do you have atrium or other windows that receive direct sunlight? Solar screens are mounted on the outside of the windows, so it blocks the heat before it reaches your glass.
- Are your furnishings fading or drying out because of the sun’s rays? Solar screens are available in a variety of densities that can block up to 94% of damaging UV rays.
- Is your porch or deck unbearably hot? Solar screens can be used to create an insect and sun block to improve your outdoor living areas, even when the sun is low in the sky.
- Would you like to preserve your view while blocking the heat and glare? Retractable solar screens don’t block your view and are easily opened and closed manually, or can be motorized to operate with the flip of a switch or the finger or a remote control.
