Have you been to your home and garden store recently to buy roses? If so, you may have found yourself overwhelmed with all the options. Here are some roses, grouped by their flower characteristics and growth habits:
Hybrid Tea roses are grown for their distinctive, fragrant flowers on long stems. Perfect for cutting and arranging.
Bushy Floribunda and Polyantha roses are covered with sprays of small flowers nearly all season. They add constant color splash and a lovely fragrance.
Grandifloras are tall, vigorous cultivars that make excellent backdrops or hedges. They also provide an abundance of cut flowers.
Climbers and Ramblers might reach up to 20 feet. These bloom once a year or repeatedly, depending on the cultivar.
Shrub roses have notable hardiness and disease resistance, which makes them a great choice for landscaping. Most are hardy to Zone 4. Depending on the cultivar, these will bloom repeatedly or once a year.
