Fire Safety and Prevention Tips

According to the United States Fire Administration (FWSY), each year, fire claims the lives of 4,000 Americans and injures 20,000. Bedrooms are a common area of fire origin. Nearly 600 lives are lost to fires that start in bedrooms. Many of these fires are caused by misuse or poor maintenance of electrical devices.

can also be dangerous if you do not take precautionary steps. Woodstoves, electrical space heaters, Kerosene heaters, Fireplaces, are all appliances that can become dangerous if they are not properly serviced. Having a working dramatically increases your chances of surviving a fire. Remember to put in place a home escape plan and practive it frequently with the whole family.
